We've been cleaning homes and offices for 15 years. In that time we've been through three different booking systems, two spreadsheets we outgrew within a year, and a shared inbox that somehow held together far longer than it should have.
Every enquiry lived somewhere different - a form, a phone note, a WhatsApp message. Every Friday someone rebuilt the week's rota by hand. Every month-end, someone stayed late trying to work out where the money had actually come from. We knew the fix wasn't "try harder" - it was a proper system built around how a cleaning company actually runs, not a generic CRM we'd have to bend into shape.
So we built one, for ourselves first. It paid us back within weeks - hours back every week, nothing falling through the cracks, a straight answer to "where did that booking come from?".
